Types of peas we produce

These are harvested and frozen within 150 minutes of picking and so timeliness is everything to ensure the upmost quality and freshness is achieved

These are the economy peas and are usually produced from higher grade B, C and D peas.

Trials

Being a member of PGRO (Processors and Growers Research Organisation) based at Thornhaugh, near Peterborough enables us to keep abreast of any changes or advances happening within the industry especially when it comes to new variety trials.

These give us invaluable first-hand knowledge of new material coming forward and an opportunity to have a look at these in field trials.

However, within Aylsham we also have our own trials programme and each year we continue to evaluate new material coming onto the market in-house, as we believe this is the only way to stay in front.

ASSURANCE & QUALITY

In order to remain ahead and strive to be the best at what we do, we only grow on the best land possible, which requires each individual field to be assessed, paying close attention to soil structure, previous cropping and drainage to ensure the crop gets off to the best start.

Careful selection of varieties from a range of breeders (Limagrain, Syngenta, Nunhems, Elsoms, Van Waveren, 4P Seeds) is crucial as this ultimately determines the best quality, colour, flavour and texture.

Red Tractor assured.
